Peshawar: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced that Flydubai has officially commenced its flight operations at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar. The airline's inaugural flight, FZ 375, arrived from Dubai on Friday carrying 164 passengers.
The arrival of the first Flydubai flight was marked by a ceremonial water cannon salute, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony attended by senior officials, airport management, and Flydubai representatives.
Later that night, the return flight from Peshawar to Dubai, also designated FZ 375, departed at 2:20 AM, carrying 185 passengers.
Earlier this month, Flydubai had announced the launch of its daily service to Peshawar starting May 15. The airline confirmed that all flights to and from Bacha Khan International Airport (commonly referred to as Peshawar Airport) will operate via Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Flydubai emphasized that the new route will offer travelers between the UAE and northwestern Pakistan greater flexibility and more travel options. With this addition, Peshawar becomes the eighth Pakistani city in Flydubai’s network, joining Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, and Sialkot.
The airline also highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Peshawar, one of South Asia’s oldest cities, citing notable landmarks such as the Bala Hisar Fort and Qissa Khwani Bazaar — once a bustling hub for poets and traders.
Flydubai’s business class fares from Dubai to Peshawar start at AED 5,270, while economy fares begin at AED 1,300. From Peshawar to Dubai, business class fares start at PKR 391,600 and economy fares at PKR 104,950.
